1) Counselling for individuals :- There is a wide range of issues regarding personal adjustment, and emotion management. No, this is an inaccurate understanding of the role of counsellors. Counsellors are NOT advice givers or problem solvers rather they are professionals trained with skills and competencies that facilitate an individual to gain awareness, growth and transformation through a warm & understanding relationship. On the conterery, counselling focuses on the empowerment of the client. Every individual and their life situation is unique and therefore there can never be a ‘one size fits all’ solution.
Ideally, no third person other than a counselor and the client, is allowed in a counselling session. But for the first session, if you feel lonely or uncomfortable, you may bring someone along. The person will be allowed in the counselling room up to the introduction only.

To be unknown totally is a great qualification of an effective counselor. He is unknown to you, means he is totally “Third Person ” for you and your issues. He has a healthy ‘third person’s view ‘ to you and your problem, without any prejudice. So he is able to analyse your issue without any emotional involvement.
